Students from both schools earned nearly 50 combined Spotlight Education honors this school year. Kennedy Theatre Company’s fall production of “The Addams Family” received 22 Spotlight Education honors. It was the first time the school received outstanding recognition in the three top categories of achievement in musical theatre, overall technical production, and overall performance. Jefferson Theatre Company’s spring production of “Once Upon a Mattress” received 27 honors.
The Hennepin Arts Spotlight Education program is active in more than 100 high schools throughout Minnesota and works to enhance arts curricula through production assessments, workshops and access to quality theatre education.
